Dream Living Journal – Part One

My Dream Living Journal will be out soon and before its release, I will provide a sneak peek into what readers can expect in this tool that has helped me and my clients get on the path to Dream Living. First, I firmly believe that in order to live your dream life you must first identify what your dream life looks like. In the journal, I provide some questions for readers to consider that can get them on the right track to identifying their dream life. There are several questions provided. I included a couple of the questions below: Describe your dreams when you were a child. What did you want to be or do when you grew up? What do others say you are good at or compliment you on? Navigating Life Changes

Wow! 2013 is coming to an end and what a year it has been for me, my friends, family, clients, and others I work with in the corporate world. This year has been full of much change both good and bad for many. Can anyone else out there relate? I know I can. With most any kind of change there is stress, uncertainty, and sometimes nervousness, fear, or even frustration. How does one navigate times of change? I will give you 4 steps that I use for myself and my coaching clients. 1. First, you should assess the change and how it relates to you and your situation. Instead of being hesitant about the change, think about the positives the change may bring to your life. Renewal and Self-Discovery

                        You might have noticed that it has been a while since I posted a blog. I have been busy not only coaching my wonderful clients but I have also been in a period of reflection, self-discovery and renewal. I have continued help my coaching clients reflect, discover and renew, then realized that I needed to take some time to do the same for myself. You might ask, “What did you learn during this period of time?” I learned quite a few things. Programming Your Mind for Success

In a previous blog called “Self-Talk” we learned that your self-talk is related to what you believe you can or cannot accomplish in life. If you want to move forward and live a life with positive results, it has to start with positive self-talk. Let’s discuss self-talk in more detail by analyzing the function of both the conscious and the subconscious mind. This is an important element to understand because it relates to your thoughts which is connected to your self-talk. The conscious mind is the part of your mind that thinks and reasons, and makes everyday decisions. Most of us are fairly aware of our conscious thoughts as the conscious mind includes everything that is within our awareness. The subconscious mind consists of everything that is currently not in your conscious mind. It stores all of your previous life experiences, beliefs, memories, skills, all the situations you’ve been through, and all images you’ve ever seen. Managing Your Emotions

Over the past few years I have learned a lot about myself, particularly as it relates to my emotions, and how to properly manage them. At a certain point in my life, I realized that if I didn’t take proactive steps to better manage my emotions then they would manage me. I used to find myself in situations where I would overreact, worry unnecessarily, or experience anxiety over things that I could not control. However, through lots of self-reflection and personal coaching, I have come a long way in managing my emotions – so much that I am not only sharing some of my experience in this blog post, but I am also working on writing a book about my journey.  In my previous blog posts I have been sharing information to help get you started on the path to living the life of your dreams. Self-Talk

Everyone has come across people who talk to themselves. The truth is, everyone talks to themselves either through spoken words, or through the mind or one’s inner voice.  Studies have shown that the average person has up to 50,000 thoughts a day. Sadly, studies have also shown that many of these thoughts are negative.  What does your self-talk consist of? What are the main messages you think or speak into your life on a daily basis? What do you say about yourself most of the time? Are the messages positive or negative? Do any of these thoughts or messages sound familiar to you?
